To You Who's Been Planning to Give Up on Your Dream

A letter

“Go out and chase your dreams no matter how crazy it looks.”

– Shanice Williams

Maybe you’ve been waiting for a breakthrough for so long.

Maybe you’ve been putting the effort but you can’t see any progress.

People seem to not notice your art, hard work, and every sacrifice you’ve made.

Maybe you despise how you constantly fail as you’ve been trying different approaches and different strategies.

You might be thinking of quitting now.

No. Don’t.

The universe and God gave you a big vision because They know you can do it.

They trust your ability and They know what you’re capable of.

Thomas Edison once said, “I have not failed. I’ve just found 10,000 ways that won’t work.”

Every setback and every failure you encounter is not a sign of weakness. Look at them with fresh eyes. Think of them as opportunities, as guides and hints you need in order to know what’s going to work and what’s not going to work.

Keep on working on yourself, keep on working towards your dreams but don’t forget to enjoy.

Remember that the prize is not the destination itself, but the journey

It makes the destination worthwhile not the other way around.

Take time to appreciate the journey and the process.

Acknowledge your efforts and learn to celebrate your progress and small wins.

Also, stop comparing your life to others.

We all have different timelines. Focus on your own. You are not competing with your friends nor anyone else.

Whenever you feel like giving up, remember you’re special and the world needs your ideas. You have something in you that the world wants to see.

And I hope that’s enough to keep you going.
